🎙️ As heard on Diabetes 101 for Beginners

Welcome, podcast listeners.

Thank you for listening. LevelTrack is the private diabetes journal we built at our kitchen table for my wife Karen, who has lived with Type 1 diabetes for 40 years. It's free to use, has no ads and never sells your data.

Tracking only, not medical advice. Your logs stay on your device.

Your first five minutes

  • 1Tap a chip (Glucose, Insulin, Carbs, Hypo or Activity), type a number and you're done. It's fast enough to use one-handed during a low.
  • 2See your day as a calm Time in Range picture, in mmol/L or mg/dL.
  • 3Browse the stable-carb recipe cards, each showing carbs and protein per serving.
  • 4Ask Karen's AI companion a question, such as "How do people handle 3am lows?"

Why we built it

After 40 years of Type 1, Karen had seen apps come and go: apps that sold data, showed ads at 3am, or turned logging into medical paperwork. So we built our own.

Karen tested every version one-handed during hypos. If it wasn't fast enough at 3am, we rebuilt it. LevelTrack is a small family project from Villefranche-du-Périgord, France, and we read every message ourselves.

“LevelTrack started at our kitchen table at 3am during a low — after 40 years of Type 1.” — Karen & family, LevelTrack

How it works

If you're new to diabetes, start small: log what you can, when you can. Patterns appear on their own.

1 · Log in seconds

Glucose, insulin, carbs, hypos and activity. Each entry is timestamped automatically, with no forms to fill in.

2 · Spot your patterns

Gentle observations from your own logs, such as “2 lows around 3am this week”. Nothing alarming, and no flashing red.

3 · Talk it through

Turn your days into one tidy summary to take to your next appointment, so you and your care team decide together.

Private, in plain words

Stays on your device

The free journal stores your logs only in your browser. We have no database of your glucose readings and can't see them.

No ads, no data selling

We never show ads and never sell or share your personal data. There are no tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Delete anytime

You stay in control. Delete everything on your device in one tap, whenever you like.

Recipes that keep Karen steady

Each recipe card shows its carbs and protein, with simple tips on why it tends to give a flatter curve. Swaps like cauliflower mash, courgette noodles and chicken-crust pizza are a great place to start.
